Charles Ibok

Charles Ibok is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Veriance, bringing more than 15 years of hands-on experience in information technology, cybersecurity, audit, risk management, and regulatory compliance. With a foundational background as a Network Engineer and a career built across some of the most heavily regulated industries in the country, Charles has consistently helped organizations identify control gaps, strengthen their security posture, mature their governance practices, and successfully navigate complex and evolving compliance requirements.
Throughout his career, Charles has led and supported cybersecurity, audit, risk, and compliance engagements across financial services, healthcare, SaaS, and critical infrastructure environments. His areas of expertise span IT audits, cybersecurity risk assessments, vendor and third-party risk management, HIPAA Security Risk Assessments, PCI DSS compliance reviews, governance and control framework development, regulatory readiness, and security program design and enhancement. He brings a practitioner's perspective to every engagement — translating technical findings into actionable business guidance.
Charles holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Information Systems from Long Island University and maintains several respected industry certifications available, including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security), and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). These credentials reflect both his technical depth and his commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards in the field.
